![]() I'm not too sure if this is accurate as I do hit sapphire bolt proc specs a lot more than 5% on the smite phase. for the smite phase(where the boss is in the middle of the room right after it does the slam attack) I tried to calculate spec chances but on the OSRS wiki it does say sapphire bolts either have a 5% chance to proc or 10%(with hard kandarin diary unlocked). ![]() Not too sure if people are interested in calcs for this boss but I put some together with different weapon/gear choicesīelow I calculated different weapons on each phase of the boss. (Plus crossbows and staves attack slower than most melee weapons). And then range and mage get left behind because their weapons and armor only add accuracy, which means all the damage came from bolts and the spell you were using, which meant much lower max hits. This is literally the problem that RS2 had and why melee was so more dominant than the other combat styles all melee gear added strength (max hits) plus defenders and the weapon which added accuracy and more strength which means you had ridiculous DPS. ![]() Nah, this line is entirely wrong it's not natural and doesn't make sense. It's natural and makes perfect sense that most of the ranged upgrades are mostly accuracy based. It feels like the only meaningful upgrades are jewelry and ammunition Even Magic upgrades feel so good compared to Ranged. The only exceptions beeing the DHCB and TBow. These upgrades just don't feel rewarding compared to upgrading Melee armor and weapons for example. To compare this: If you upgrade from an adamant scimitar to a rune scimitar you also gain 16 accuracy, but 16 strength on top of that. Pegasian Boots vs Blessed D'Hide Boots - Only +5 ranged accuracy and + 1 Defense with 0 ranged strength - 40mil differenceĪrmadyl Top vs Blessed Dhide top - Only +3 ranged accuracy, +1 Melee defenses, at least the magic defense is a okay upgrade with +20 (but only +5 compared to Karils) 37mil differenceĪrmadyl skirt vs Blessed chaps - Again only +3 ranged accuracy and +12 Magic defense (+5 compared to Karils) - 36milĪrmadyl Crossbow vs Dragon Crossbow - +5 ranged accuracy - no extra ranged strength - 31milĮven if you combine ALL of these, its just 16 ranged accuracy more, and 0 ranged strength.
